My aim was to give the thriller\/horror genre a brooding, female twist along the lines of <em>The Virgin Suicides<\/em>, <em>Twilight<\/em>, <em>The Orphanage<\/em> and Australian classic <em>Picnic at Hanging Rock<\/em>.
