Totally blew my mind.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve seen these guys perform over the years and even worked with them, so I know how they can raise the roof with complex tunes and the biggest little voice you&#8217;ve ever heard. But even I was unprepared for how much they have evolved with this new album. <\/p>\n<p>Goldfrapp producer Lee Groves has served them well: from the palpable &#8216;Heart&#8217; (watch out for clip produced by Diana Ward and shot by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0254193\/\">Bonnie Elliott<\/a>) to more contempletive &#8216;Sky is Falling&#8217;, this album has not only guts but gravitas and is truly cinematic. <\/p>\n<p>No longer Sydney&#8217;s best kept secret, these guys have been featured on the soundtracks to <em>Puppy<\/em>, <em>Feed<\/em>, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/rachaelturk.com\/2009\/02\/21\/feeling_lonely-short-film-2007\/\">Feeling_Lonely?<\/a><\/em> and <em>Hey Hey It&#8217;s Esther Blueberger<\/em>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rachaelturk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/bertie-1-150x134.jpg\" alt=\"bertie blackman\" title=\"bertie blackman\" width=\"150\" height=\"134\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-239\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Secrets &#038; Lies<\/em> will be released in stores in May.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just in from seeing Bertie Blackman and Neal Sutherland (bass\/keys) play at the Wharf Sessions.
